For which weighing applications can the modules be used?

The weighing modules can be used for any scale constructions. They are ideal for mounting on silo feet or under containers and other structures.

Why are retrofit modules useful?

With shear force load cells, the horizontal displacement of the applied force generates the bending moment necessary for measurement. This moment must be neutralized by the structure where the load cell is mounted. The area where the load cell is mounted must be sufficiently robust to handle this force without bending or stressing. For silo feet, this is usually not the case, so the weighing module performs this function. Additionally, the silo can be fixed to the ground, preventing tipping.

How strong is the lifting safety designed?

The lifting safety in Agris weighing modules is ensured by the load cell and load introduction itself, limited to the maximum load of the cell. Thus, the module is not suitable for tall silos in open areas, where strong wind forces may be expected.

How much higher does the silo get with the weighing modules?

Due to the compact design of the load introduction, the total height of the module is between 95 and 110 mm depending on the mounting setup. This is how much higher the overall construction will be.

Are the modules also available in other load capacities?

The current version is only available for 2,000 kg per load cell. Higher load capacities are possible on request. Please contact our team for more information.
