For which weighing applications can the weighing modules be used?

The weighing modules can be used for any weighing constructions. They are ideal for mounting under silo feet or containers and other structures.

Why are retrofit modules useful?

With shear-force load cells, the necessary bending moment for measurement is generated by the horizontal offset of the force. This bending moment must be neutralized by the structure to which the load cell is attached. The area where the load cell is fixed must be strong enough to absorb this moment and not bend or twist. This is usually not guaranteed by the silo’s base, so the weighing module compensates for this. Furthermore, the silo can be fixed to the ground with the retrofit module, preventing tipping.

How strong is the lifting safety dimensioned?

The lifting safety of the Agris weighing modules is provided by the load cell and load introduction itself, and is limited to the maximum load of the load cell. Therefore, the module is not suitable for high silos in outdoor areas where strong wind forces are expected.

How much higher does the silo get with the weighing modules?

The total height of the module is only between 95 and 110 mm, depending on the installation setting. This is the increase in the overall height of the construction.

Can the modules be used for other structures?

Yes, the weighing modules can be used for many other structures that require precise weighing. They are versatile and adaptable to various applications.
