Product description

Maximum mounting flexibility thanks to stepless length adjustment

The adjustable design of these weighing beams allows a stepless adjustment of the mounting distance (hole spacing for installation) between 480 and 990 mm. This greatly simplifies selecting the right weighing beam – the familiar issue of incorrect fit does not occur with this system.

High-quality stainless steel construction for demanding applications

The robust stainless steel housing is corrosion-resistant, hygienic and durable – suitable for barns, outdoor environments and food-related applications. The beams withstand moisture, dust and aggressive media while consistently delivering precise weighing results.

One beam for all applications

Thanks to the quick and easy length adjustment, the beam can be used for multiple weighing applications with different mounting distances.

Robust technology combined with highest accuracy

The beam structure is made from sturdy box-section tubes allowing a load capacity of 2,000 kg per beam. The robust stainless steel leveling feet are height-adjustable and equipped with large M16 threads. The weighing technology delivers an accuracy of +/- 0.02 % and is waterproof to protection class IP68.

FAQ

For which weighing applications can Agris weighing beams be used?
The Agris Vario weighing beams can be used for any weighing application where a ready-made weighing structure is suitable as an underframe. Thanks to the adjustable length, the variety of applications increases significantly, as the beam fits almost anywhere without prior clarification and can be mounted without additional effort.
How is the length or mounting distance adjusted?
The side sections can be moved along the center section and are secured with set screws. Adjustment is done as follows.
• Loosen both set screws
• Pull out both side sections evenly until the required mounting distance is reached
• Tighten both set screws again
Does extending the side sections affect load capacity?
No, not at all. The load is applied via the outer mounting plates. The box-section tubes in between are not load-bearing.
What is the maximum distance between the beams?
The distance between the beams is limited only by the cable length and can be up to approx. 6 m as standard.
Can the weighing signal cables be extended?
The standard cable length is 2 x 4 m. On request, cables can be extended up to 20 m.
How accurate are the Agris weighing beams?
The Vario weighing beams are equipped with high-resolution shear beam load cells with an accuracy of +/- 0.02 %.
Are the Agris weighing beams legal-for-trade?
The weighing technology and the indicator would meet the requirements for calibration, but the beams are not offered in a calibrated version. They are therefore not approved for legal-for-trade use.
Can the indicator get wet?
Yes, it complies with protection class IP67 and can be used outside, as well as in damp rooms and stables.
Does the indicator contain a battery?
The indicator has a battery compartment that fits 2 regular 1.5 V AA or equivalent batteries.
How does the animal weighing mode function?
The animal weighing mode functions fully automatically. If there's an animal on the scale, the indicator will create running averages from the fluctuating weight readings. After a couple of seconds the indicator stabilises and the weight can be read. This also works when animals move a lot on the scale. Animal weighing mode is activated using the function button and remains active until it is manually turned off. This means you can weigh as many animals as you want without having to operate the indicator.
Must the indicator be calibrated before use?
When you buy a complete weighing system, the indicator will be calibrated in the factory. If you buy the indicator separately, it must be calibrated on site with the available load cells. The calibration procedure is described in the manual.
